2010 UEM Goldspeed EMX Quad X European Championship

Rd 1 – 4th April - Oldebroek, Holland
Rd 2 – 18th April - Langrish, GB

Come on everyone, this is our chance to see & support Quad racing at the highest level in Europe.

Langrish are investing a lot in to our sport to bring this to our shores and we need to support the event.

18th April at the awesome Langrish circuit near Petersfield, Hampshire.

It is also round 2 of the Sidecar GP World Championships.

Have you ever seen INTERNATONAL GP SIDECARS?

Incredible & will make a great weekend of action with the Quads - Don’t miss it!

Britains European Champion - Paul Holmes will be in action to defend his title.

It is also planned for a piece of history to be made with all the ACU British Champions for donkeys years in action; Jason Wildman, Justin Reid, John Mitchell and 10 x Champ Paul Winrow along with European regulars, James Hellewell 6th in 2009, Jason MacBeth and the best from around Europe, so plenty to cheer for.

If you are competing here are a few tips;

Take along with your passport!
ACU Start permission/insurance.
ACU International Licence.
DVLA Licence.
Rear T Bar and wrap around chain guard.
Rider spine guard – (not stone guard body armour).
Those riders doing the start, take a throwaway jacket to keep warm while waiting.

Spectators - it is FREE to watch.

There is a Park and Ride system for the Sunday with parking at the airport as the town gets very busy.

The dates for the 2010 QRA ACU British Quad Cross Country Championship and other domestic and International major events.

Other QRA events such as Quad Speedway, TT and fun days plus other organisers events will be added when confirmed.

(Please note all dates listed were correct as of 15th December but may be subject to change so check back regularly.)

Speedy Recovery Pam

We are pleased to report that Pam is making good progress and has been transferred to a rehabilitation unit in Bath where the best help and support can be provided.

We will keep you posted of her progress. (Posted 30th December)

Pam was involved in a road accident in her car on the A303 near Andover. Early reports are that she was hit from behind whilst on her way home from work on Tuesday evening (24th November).

JANUARY QUAD LANDS
30th December2009

Yes it's 2010 in Quad land and the January issue of QUAD Magazine will be landing in the nation's newsagents on December 29th.

Chris Pearson returned from testing the new road legal KTM 525XC with a huge grin and a rave report. Whilst billed as street-legal, be warned, he says, as the new orange quad is a race-derived thoroughbred and should be treated with respect.

QUAD readers have been busy and Steve Hone reports on stage two of his LT-R450 rebuild whilst north of the border a bunch of Scottish pals have been off winter trail-riding. On the racing front, Ireland's Team JMK reflects on a season of XC National racing with the QRA and, in a pictorial round-up, QUAD delves behind the scenes at the annual QRA Awards evening.

Ingoldmells Beachduro winner Oli Sansom joins the regular QUAD columnists with his take on rounds one and two of the British Quad Supercross series, Coley gets ready for a trip to Argentina, the Pieman gets philosophical, Mitchell's been out on two-wheels and Bev Barnes reviews her racing year.

Regular features include green-laning, youth scene, readers' pictures and letters, club corner, classifieds and a directory of where to find franchised quad dealers. With news, gossip and intrigue thrown in for good measure, the January issue of QUAD should keep you on four until the quad action kicks off again in the New Year.
