Hannington
In Bloom

Please
keep away from
the Bluebells!! |
|
Parking
is good with options if this weather persists.
The paddock/work area is fine with good viewing of large
chunk of the track.
Please could everyone when walking around to watch keep
to the areas permitted and keep off of the track. Also please
keep off the Bluebells, they look nicer in one piece, rather
than with a boot print on!
We will keep you informed daily here on the site.
Fat Piggies will be providing the top quality catering at
the event once again from 7.30am.
The only post code available for the farm takes you to the
wrong place as we are a distance from the farm. So please
take the turning towards the village of Hannington off of
the A339 Newbury to Basingstoke Rd. The track entrance is
on your left when going towards Hannington and will be signposted. |
The

Paul Winrow wins the Extreme Quad Indoor Quad Passion
Magazine event in Lyon, France on Friday 15th February
on his Winrow Honda. 2nd was Jérémie Warnia (Suzuki)
and Romain Couprie (Yamaha) in 3rd.
Winrow the twice QRA British Quad Endurance champion went to France
and beat them in their own back yard. Couprie came to the UK in
2007 and won an MMX British Quad championship round at Frome,
Somerset ahead of John Mitchell and Paul. Now Winrow has switched
the tables around, flown the British flag in front of a huge crowd
on a very extreme
man made course with rock and tree sections etc. to become the
2008 Extreme Quad Indoor Champion, the event was created by Quad
Passion magazine.
Chris Cooper made a good account of himself and his new Can Am
450 while Mercuria GYTR Team Yamaha Racing's James Hellewell crashed
heavily in Time Training and early unconfirmed reports are that
he has suffered a broken arm and nose, we wish him a speedy recovery. |

Many thanks
to everyone that made the weekend such fun. The spectators have
been sending in emails congratulating everyone and we are already
well underway with the plans for the next one. We have an action
plan and have learnt a lot from the first event.
Thanks very
much to the marshals, officials, riders and to Margate. The best
fun we have had in ages and full report and results will be posted
on here Tuesday night. For now check out the pics on Pete's
